band Chvrches says that if Kojima approached them about working on Death Stranding 2, they would be quick to accept the offer.
Chvrches, a Scottish synth pop/techno pop group, have announced if Hideo Kojima, the director of Death Stranding 2 will contact them to collaborate on this work, they will quickly accept his offer. NME Media from Martin Doherty, the band’s synthesizer player (a type of electronic instrument that reproduces the sounds of various musical instruments) asked if they were writing a track for Kojima’s new game. He said:
“Okay, we’re available. There is no official program yet. We have talked and mentioned to each other that we would like to work together again. Nothing is certain yet and discussions are ongoing. I don’t want to go all out by saying, can we please be in the game and Kojima says no. But I don’t know. We continue to build a really special relationship with Kojima and I think we understand him and he understands us. If a call is made for cooperation, yes; We accept it quickly.”
It should be mentioned that the Chvrches group made a piece for the game Death Stranding in 2019 and also has a history of making music for the game Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. Kojima is a big fan of the band and spent time with them when the band debuted in Japan. Death Stranding 2 was announced at The Game Awards 2022 and is currently in development for PlayStation 5.
