Confirmation of production of Guillermo del Toro’s new stop motion animation

Guillermo del Toro has announced the production of his next stop motion animation based on the story of The Buried Giant after making Pinocchio.

The Pinocchio animation directed by Guillermo del Toro, which was released on Netflix, has achieved a great success, and this animation is mentioned as the main chance to receive the Academy Award for the best animation of the year. Now according to the latest Cinema and TV newsGuillermo del Toro is looking to make another stop-motion animation. Del Toro confirmed in an interview with The Telegraph that he is looking to make a stop-motion animation based on Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel The Buried Giant. Del Toro said in this interview:

“The next stop-motion animation I’m making is an adaptation of the Buried Giant novel by Kazuo Ishiguro, and I’m writing the screenplay with Dennis Kelly, and we’re starting the design process in 2 months. I will start shooting my next live-action movie first and then we will start making the stop-motion animation, which will take about 2 years, and if everything goes well, we will start the animation production.”

The novel The Buried Giant was published in 2015. This novel follows the story of an elderly couple named Axel and Beatrice who go on an adventure to find their missing son. The narrative takes place with the couple’s journey in ancient Britain. When the Saxons and Braytons live in a fragile peace after a devastating war. The peace that is the result of an agreement is a forgetfulness. An all-pervading oblivion that has spread across the land in the form of fog.

These two couples live during the invasion of England by the Saxons and during the peace between King Arthur and the Bretons, and have amnesia. They don’t know if they had a child or not and they don’t know about their shared past. However, there is no information about Guillermo del Toro’s next live-action film. Nightmare Alley is the last live-action film directed by del Toro. Del Toro previously won 2 Oscars for the movie The Shape of Water: Best Film of the Year and Best Director.
