Disclosure of RTX 4060 Ti graphics card benchmark results; Up to 15% faster than RTX 3060 Ti

The first benchmark results of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card through the database Geekbench has been revealed and it shows the difference in its performance level with the model of the same category from the previous generation.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card is the latest mid-range product of the green team from the new family of Ada Lovelace graphics processors, which is scheduled to be launched this month. This card actually directly replaces the RTX 3060 Ti from the previous generation, which is the same price as the 8GB version of Nvidia’s new offer. This GPU has been tested in Geekbench 5’s CUDA benchmark test and its results have been revealed through its website’s database. But before dealing with the results of this review, we will have a look at the technical specifications of this card.

Based on the rumors and information collected from various sources, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card is designed based on an AD106-350-A1 graphics processor, which is considered a weaker or cut-down version of the AD106 chip, which consists of 34 SM units equivalent to 4352 CUDA cores. has been The graphics memory of this card will be in two configurations of 8GB and 16GB and will be of GDDR6 type, with a speed of 18GB per second and a 128-bit bus interface, which has provided a bandwidth of 288GB per second. Also, 32 MB of L2 cache memory is used in this GPU, which is 8 times more than GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.

The 16 GB version of this card uses the PG190 version of these cards, and the 8 GB version uses the PG190 model. The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card will be available in various SFF models and compact ITX versions, making it a great proposition for small form factor computers. This card also consumes much less power, which will be around 150-160 watts for gaming, which is 25% less than RTX 3060 Ti.

It is expected that this card will be launched in the market at the end of May (early Khordad) and will have an official price of 399-499 dollars. But regarding the performance results of RTX 4060 Ti in the published benchmark test, it should be said that this card was tested on a new motherboard using the Intel Core i9-13900K chip in order to avoid any bottleneck in the performance of the card.

The Geekbench 5 database confirms that this card works with the expected specifications at the highest frequency of 2540 MHz, and its 8 GB memory speed reaches the limit of 18 GB/s. It is still not possible to say with certainty that this is an overclocked model of the said graphic card or that it is considered one of its reference versions. But we have already seen frequencies above 2.6 GHz for this card in custom models.

Performance comparison of Nvidia graphics cards

This GPU scored 146,170 points in the Geekbench 5 CUDA test, while the RTX 3060 Ti scored 125,000 to 130,000 points at its best. So the 4060Ti should be about 15% faster than the 3060Ti. On the other hand, the RTX 3070 receives something like 150 thousand points in this test, so the 4060Ti cannot match the performance of the RTX 3070.

AMD graphics cards cannot be included in these comparisons because the CUDA test is optimized for Nvidia graphics cards and only OpenCL and Vulkan tools can be used for this purpose.

So it looks like the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is a small upgrade over the 3060Ti, with improved performance and reduced power consumption. Of course, we should not forget DLSS 3, which increases the superiority of the proposals of this generation of Nvidia.

As far as the rumored specs are concerned, the RTX 4060 Ti graphics card has less cores and half the memory bus of its previous generation model. It is not yet known what performance this reduction in specifications will show along with the new generation architecture, but the memory bandwidth reduction to 288 GB/s, while the RTX 3060 Ti Depending on the model used, it reached users with 608 or 448 GB/s, which is probably the case of this performance. It will affect the GPU more.

The non-Ti model of the RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 Ti graphics cards will both arrive in stores in the first quarter of 2023 or at the end of the second quarter. These two products will finally bring the generation of Ada Lovelace into the phase of economic products, which seems to be really needed now.
