Introducing Control 2 game for 9th generation consoles and PC

Remedy announced the sequel to the game Control for release on PC and 9th generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

Remedy Entertainment has recently confirmed that after several months of talking about its Codename Heron project, which is supposed to be bigger than the Control game, this project is Control 2. This project is a complete sequel to the controller game, which is supposed to be released in collaboration with 505 Games on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X platforms. Xbox Series S will be released. This project is currently in the conceptual design stage and will be developed using the Northlight Remedy engine.

Remedi has allocated an initial budget of 50 million euros for the development of this game and retains the ownership of this IP. However, investments in marketing, development and post-release support of the game, along with any future net revenue, will be split equally between the two companies Remedy and 505 Games. Remedy plans to release the PC version of the game and 505 Games will release the console version. Below you can see the first concept image of Control 2 game:

Rami and Rafi Galante, CEOs of Digital Bros Group, said in a press release: “We are excited to deepen our partnership with Ramdi and continue the success story of Control together. Since its release in 2019, Control has sold more than three million copies. Control is the biggest investment of 505 Games company so far; Therefore, this project has a special place in our hearts. We are grateful to the entire player community for making Control a long-lived and beloved game. We are even more excited to release the second edition.”

Among the other projects being developed by Remedy, we can mention Ramzi Vanguard, which is a free multiplayer game developed in cooperation with Tencent. The next Ramsey project is Condor and it is supposed to be a multiplayer PvE version of the game Control and in the future on PC platforms, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | Xbox Series S will be released. Also, the Alan Wake 2 game is being developed by Remedy and is scheduled to be released in 2023.
