The regulatory report of the statistical indicators of the communication and information technology sector in the winter of 1401 shows that the data transfer speed of subscribers in the fourth generation on Mobile First and Irancell operators has decreased compared to the fall. This is while the average Internet speed of Ritel has grown by almost 30%. Also, although the Ministry of Communications has emphasized the development of optical fiber since the beginning of its activity, statistics show that in 1401 only 40 thousand subscribers The number of FTTH service subscribers has increased. Before the fall incidents and the Instagram filter, the Regulatory Organization used to announce the amount of internet used by operators, but for two seasons, it has refused to announce these statistics for an unknown reason.
According to the new regulatory report, the data transfer (download) speed of mobile first subscribers reached 15.52 megabits per second in the fall of 1401, and Irancell’s download speed was 16.38 megabits per second. This is while these numbers were 19.29 and 18.77 Mbps in the fall, respectively. In the meantime, Rightel operator has been able to increase its speed from 14.99 to 19.22 Mbps in the winter of 1401.

The decrease in the speed of mobile internet in 1400 compared to the previous year also occurred, which was attributed to the increase in subscribers. It seems that this event, along with some other challenges, has slowed down mobile internet this year as well.
According to the Regulatory Organization, the number of mobile phone subscribers has grown by 5.84 percent over the past year, and by the end of winter 1401, this number has reached more than 148 million subscribers. The number of mobile broadband subscribers also grew by 9.71% and reached more than 105 million subscribers during the winter.
As the regulatory winter statistical quarterly shows, Mobile First still has the largest market share of active mobile phone subscribers with 53%. Irancell with 43% and Rightel with 4% are in the next ranks.

The number of mobile internet broadband subscribers has had an upward trend in 1401. More than 91% of mobile internet users also use 4G technology.
In the winter of 1401, the average monthly conversation per user was 184 and the average monthly SMS was 246 per user.
It is interesting to know that 67% of the conversation traffic on the mobile network belongs to the first mobile phone, and Irancell with 32% and Rightel with 1% are in the next ranks. The share of Mobile Network SMS is 80%, and the share of Irancell and Rightel is 17% and 3%, respectively.

From this statistic, it can be concluded that one of the reasons for choosing Irancell and Rightel is to use the internet of these two operators, and their subscribers are less willing to make calls or send SMS.
Among these subscribers, the highest speed of data criticism reaches the owners of the Rightel operator, and the least disturbance in the 4G service is related to Irancell. Also, the first mobile phone has the highest rate of successful establishment of 4G data service.
Slight increase of FTTH subscribers and growth of TD-LTE subscribers
While “Isa Zarepour” since the beginning of his presidency has repeatedly emphasized on creating 20 million optical fiber coverage within 4 years, in the regulatory report it has been announced that the number of optical fiber lines in the country has reached 234 thousand 949 subscribers, which compared to last year, It has only grown by 40 thousand.
Another noteworthy point is that the statistics of the Regulatory Organization do not match with the “National Fiber Optic Plan for Homes and Businesses” website. On this site, the number of FTTH service receivers is announced as 199,606 users, while the regulator speaks of 234,000 optical fiber subscribers.

Also, the Minister of Communications announced last week that 3 million households have been covered by optical fiber, but this website states that the coverage is 2.5 million.
Also, the fixed internet penetration rate has been associated with negative growth and reached 13.05 at the end of 1401.
In this report, the number of XDSL subscriptions, i.e. ADSL and VDSL, decreased by about 266 thousand compared to the end of 2014. On the other hand, the number of TD-LTE subscribers has grown by more than 200,000 cases compared to last year. This statistic shows that the new Internet technologies (of course in Iran but not the world) have been favored by the people and the obsolete ADSL service no longer meets the needs of users.

The most fixed broadband subscribers belong to telecommunications with 5 million subscribers, and FCPs are ranked second with more than 3 million and 322 thousand subscribers.
In addition, the report says that fixed broadband internet with speeds between 2 and 10 Mbps has the most subscribers.
