“Starting today, Donald Trump’s channel is no longer restricted and can upload new content. Trump’s new video on YouTube

In recent months, even though he has returned to Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, Trump has remained active on his own social network, Truth Social. However, after the ban on his YouTube account was lifted, he uploaded an 11-second video titled “I’m Back” referencing his 2016 presidential victory. Trump also published the same video on Facebook.

Trump’s YouTube account was suspended after the January 6, 2021 riot at the US Capitol. The site removed a video of the former US president that it said violated its policies against incitement to violence and then banned Trump from uploading new content. However, YouTube was skeptical about whether the ban would be permanent. In May of that year, CEO Suzanne Wojcicki said Trump’s ban would be lifted after the risk of violent provocations was further reduced.
