The director of the new The Witcher game has been revealed

The animation director of The Witcher 3 announced in a tweet that he has been chosen as the main director of the next version of this game.

During the latest news of the game, Sebastian Calemba from CD Projekt Red announced on Twitter that he has been selected as the director of the next version of the Witcher series. CD Projekt previously confirmed that the next installment in the Witcher series will be the start of a new trilogy. “I’m directing the new version of the Witcher saga,” Calemba tweeted. Since joining CD Project Red, I have learned that nothing is impossible and that the expectation level must be raised. We are here to tell emotional stories and create worlds.”

According to Kalemba’s LinkedIn profile, he joined the Polish company CD Projekt in October 2014. He first worked as the main animator for two games, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077, and was eventually promoted as the senior director of the animation department of CD Projekt. Also, he worked as a creative director for 15 months before being selected as the director of the fourth installment of the Witcher series.

In October of this year, CD Projekt unveiled its plans to develop games including the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, the new Witcher trilogy, the Witcher spin-off and its new original IP. According to the company, the next editions of the new Witcher trilogy will be released in a period of 6 years after the first edition. Later, CD Projekt announced that it will develop a complete remake of Witcher 1 using Unreal Engine 5, and this project has already entered the production stage.
