It seams Apple Wants to support Wi-Fi 6E After MacBook Pro and iPad Pro, bring it to iPhones and iPhone 15 series to market with this feature. Of course, we don’t know if this feature will be available for all models or only Pro versions.
Many of Apple’s current products support Wi-Fi 6E, including the latest 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro, 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, and the 2023 Mac Mini, but the iPhone 14 series is still limited to Wi-Fi 6.
Wi-Fi 6E on the way to the iPhone 15 series
According to Barclays analysts, Apple will bring Wi-Fi 6E to the iPhone 15 series. Wi-Fi 6 operates on the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, while Wi-Fi 6E also operates on the 6 GHz bands, resulting in higher wireless speeds, lower latency, and less signal interference. Until today, various brands such as Asus and TP-Link have unveiled Wi-Fi 6E routers.
This is not the first time we see a report about iPhones supporting this standard. In the past, there were rumors that the iPhone 14 series and even the iPhone 13 support this technology, but now Apple has started supporting this standard in its products. So it seems that finally iPhones are able to support Wi-Fi 6E.
Apple will most likely unveil the iPhone 15 series in September or late September, and this year we will be facing four iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and Pro Max (Ultra) phones. All these products to dynamic island Or Dynamic Island will be equipped and they will also have a USB-C port.
Despite these similarities, Apple will only use the 3nm A17 Bionic chip in the Pro models, and the other two models will have the A16 Bionic chip. Other differences are related to periscope camera in Pro Max model and titanium frame and solid state buttons in Pro models.
