At Mobile World Congress 2023, Lenovo unveiled the new generation of several laptops. Among these products, we can mention the new generation of Lenovo Thinkpad E series laptops, including the fifth generation Thinkpad E14 and the first generation Thinkpad E16, which have 14 and 16-inch screens with a 16:10 aspect ratio, respectively.
The new Lenovo laptops can be configured with Intel’s 13th generation processors or AMD’s Ryzen 7030. The Ryzen 7030 processors are from the Zen 3 Cezanne generation, so we are not dealing with a processor with Zen 4 cores, which could be disappointing for some users.
Specifications of the new generation of Lenovo Thinkpad E series laptops
These new laptops are equipped with 14-inch and 16-inch screens with an aspect ratio of 16:10 and have a screen-to-body ratio of 90%. The E14 model can be ordered with touch and normal panels as well as WUXGA and WUXGA+ resolutions. The E16 Gen 1 model is sold with both touch and non-touch panels and WUXGA and WQXGA resolutions.

As we said, these laptops can be ordered with 13th generation Intel processors, and in these examples, it is also possible to access Nvidia GeForce MX550 independent graphics. For Ryzen models, users will have to settle for integrated Radeon graphics, although the Radeon 680M performs better than the GeForce MX450.
The new generation of Lenovo Thinkpad E series laptops use 8 GB of DDR4 RAM in the basic version, which can be increased. In these laptops, we also have Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1, a Thunderbolt 4 port, three USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.0b port and Ethernet.

Lenovo has used a new keyboard with a larger 115 mm touchpad in these laptops. These products use full HD webcams and are equipped with 47 and 57 watt-hour batteries, respectively.
Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen 5 and Thinkpad E16 Gen will be launched from June 2023 with a base price of 770 and 780 euros, respectively.
