Twitter partners with eToro to make it easier to buy stocks and cryptocurrencies

twitter Intends through cooperation with social transaction company eToroto allow its users to access their stocks, digital currencies and other financial assets.

According to a new report by CNBC, a new feature will be added to the Twitter app starting today (Thursday, April 24). This feature allows users to view market charts across a wide range of financial instruments and buy or sell stocks and other assets with the help of eToro.

Additionally, Twitter’s $Cashtag template, which allows users to click on a financial hashtag and see more information about a specific stock, can display real data with this feature. This data will continue to be provided by the TradingView market tracker.

There is also an eToro button below the live price charts that users can click on to check statistics through the eToro platform. However, an eToro account must be created to use the feature.

Chris Reidy, Twitter’s vice president of global sales and marketing, said in a statement that the company is clearly trying to diversify its offerings with “additional market intelligence and greater access to investment capabilities.” According to Twitter, in the first quarter of 2023, 498 million tweets about finance or business were sent.

Since Elon Musk took over Twitter, the company has laid off 80 percent of its workforce in an effort to cut costs. Musk launched an updated subscription model that offers users Blue Tick, fewer ads and increased tweet visibility for $8 a month. Also, developers have to pay to use its API. All of this comes as more than 500 advertisers have reportedly stopped spending on Twitter.
