Yakuza 0 game
The Yakuza series is one of those games whose name we often hear in the news or during various events, but some of us, for whatever reason, have not come across it until today. Today’s version of this collection is a very suitable starting point for entering the Yakuza world.
Yakuza series was born in 2005. It is interesting to know that Toshihiro Nagoshi, the creator of the series, came up with the initial idea of the Yakuza game two years before this date and had a hard time convincing others to turn it into a game. Nagoshi wanted to create a work that depicted the world of the Japanese yakuza, and one of the reasons why his idea met with opposition at first was because of this issue, and some members were not interested in going to the world of the yakuza for a video game. Anyway, finally this project got the green light and the first Yakuza game was released in 2005.
But the version that we are going to introduce today is not the first version of Yakuza; Yakuza 0 game is a product of 2015. The reason I recommend this version is the timeline of the series. Yakuza 0 is actually a precursor to the first version of the series in terms of story, and in other words, it is considered the starting point of the overall story of the series. The story of the game takes the players to 1988 in Japan and brings them together with Kazuma Kiryu, the popular and familiar character of the series, and of course the character of Goro Majima.
After its release, Yakuza 0 played an important role in making the series more popular in Western countries. This game, as the starting point of the story, made many people interested in experiencing the next versions after finishing it, and in this sense, it is important among Yakuza games. One of the reasons for such success is the fun gameplay of the game. In Yakuza 0, players can roam freely in the game world and do all kinds of activities; From the main stages to a high variety of side activities that can bring rewards such as money. The variety of side activities in the game is such that even some Sega arcade games like Out Run can be played completely!
Yakuza 0 is also an attractive experience in terms of fighting, and hand-to-hand combat or with weapons have good excitement and variety. Ghostrunner game
The second game of this week is a work called Ghostrunner produced in 2020. This game was created by One More Level Studio and is an action platformer in which parkour sports movements play a prominent role.
The story of the Ghostrunner game is about a character named Jack who, at the beginning of the game, we take control of while he does not remember anything from his past. A voice in Jack’s mind guides him to various missions and goals, and in general, we witness a mysterious experience in terms of a story that may not be very wonderful, but it has its own charms.
What makes Ghostrunner worthwhile and why I recommend it is its interesting gameplay. In this game, everything is narrated with the first-person camera, and the players have two main goals in it; First, passing obstacles and platforms, in this way parkour movements are used, and you can pass obstacles and sometimes even enemies by doing things like running or jumping in different ways. But Jack’s character in the game is not defenseless at all, and running away is not your only tool in dealing with enemies; But you can destroy them using weapons.
The interesting thing about the fights in the game is that both the enemies and Jack himself are killed with just one shot of the weapon, and as a result, the audience has to pay attention to make the right and timely decision. Things such as the possibility of upgrading Jack’s skills are other features of the game. Visually, Ghostrunner is also a quality experience; In the game, we are on the side of a world with a cyberpunk atmosphere, which has its own beauties, and the proper quality of lighting has made these beauties stand out even more.
In general, although Ghostrunner is not a perfect experience, it can provide the excitement and tension of an action movie well in many minutes, and for that reason, it deserves to be experienced at least once.
